The subscription period for the MAM Growth Equity II Fund has ended. A total of EUR 140 million were raised, and the fund is now looking for new investments.

Mandatum’s Growth Equity strategy focuses on the scale-up phase of Finnish and Nordic growth companies. It takes part in exceptional growth journeys by being an active owner and providing expertise, networks and flexible growth capital to companies with a proven business model and ambitious management teams. Partnering with entrepreneurs, other owners and senior management is central to the Growth Equity team.

The final investment of MAM Growth Equity I, the predecessor of MAM Growth Equity II, was made in February 2023. MAM Growth Equity II has now completed its fund raising. The fund's anchor investors are Varma and Tesi. The client assets under management in the strategy’s first and second vintages total approximately EUR 300 million.

“It is fantastic that our clients have trusted us with their capital despite the challenging market environment. MAM Growth Equity II is at EUR 140 million the largest active growth equity fund in Finland. My heartfelt thanks to our clients,” says Lauri Vaittinen, CEO of Mandatum Asset Management.

MAM Growth Equity II has already invested in three companies, with the most recent investment involving Finnish Integrata. MAM will support Integrata with, for example, international growth and the development of its technology solutions.

“We are happy that we now have a significant pool of capital that we can provide to companies and help them grow. Indeed, we are now focusing on finding suitable companies to invest in. In addition to capital, we also help companies grow and reach their full potential by providing them with access to our expertise, tools and network,” says Alexander Antas, Head of Private Equity at Mandatum Asset Management.

Mandatum’s Growth Equity team has taken part in the development of companies like Haltian, Nosto, Cadmatic, Oddlygood and HappySignals. It invests in companies that have passed the startup phase and have a turnover of at least EUR 10 million. The strategy provides companies and owners with a flexible minority solution, providing the company with growth capital and the owners with liquidity.
