At Mandatum, a focus on excellent employee experience, corporate culture and personnel’s well-being and motivation is a chosen value and strategic cornerstone. Our thriving corporate culture is a factor that leads, not only to an excellent employee experience, but also to a high degree of customer satisfaction, thus creating a basis for successful business.
Our corporate culture is based on participation, trust, caring and good leadership. It gives each individual the opportunity to be themselves, to develop and harness their strengths for their own benefit and that of others. We focus on providing our personnel with a positive daily experience. A positive daily experience is based on good leadership, but it is built at every level of the workplace. It is repeated in guidelines and practices, and each employee creates it through their actions. In line with our values, we always operate as a unified team, respecting and valuing one another.

Taking responsibility for personnel and sustainable ways of operating ensures successful business. Personnel’s well-being is one of Mandatum’s strategic goals. Mandatum’s HR policy is based on the belief that taking care of personnel ensures customer satisfaction and puts the company in an even better position to achieve success.
The main goals of Mandatum’s responsibility for personnel are
At Mandatum, work well-being is seen as an individual’s overall well-being. We believe that employees are able to feel good at work when the work they perform has meaning, they have control over the work they do and they feel valued in their work and work community. Mandatum pays particular attention to work-ability management, high quality supervisory work and preventive measures. Mandatum’s goal is to keep personnel’s well-being and work ability at a high level throughout their career.
The purpose of our benefit package is to encourage personnel to perform well, in line with the company’s business targets, and to support employees’ overall well-being. The basic salary is supplemented with a performance-based reward scheme, group pension insurance and a personnel fund. Employees also receive a lunch, sports, well-being and culture benefit on top of their salary in the form of Epassi, as well as a parking space or an employer-subsidised commuter ticket, and the possibility to acquire a company bicycle. In addition to extensive occupational health care, comprehensive insurance has been taken out for the entire personnel, not only against work injuries, but also against illness and off-working-hours injuries. We additionally offer yoga, a gym and a massage chair at the office, and special personnel prices on the Group companies’ products and services. A hybrid working model supports personnel’s ability to balance work and leisure.
Mandatum values and actively promotes diversity among all its personnel groups. By drawing on the different backgrounds, competence and skills of its employees, Mandatum strives to increase its overall value and create a more innovative, fair and caring work environment where differences are seen as a strength. We believe that the organisations that are able to make full use of their employees’ competence and motivating factors will be winners in the future.
Mandatum offers equal opportunities to all of its employees. For each job at Mandatum, the most suitable person is chosen in compliance with the principles of non-discrimination and equality. All Mandatum employees are also encouraged to develop and utilise their strengths so that everyone can reach their full potential.
Our goal is to ensure our practices and processes are free from discrimination and that these values show in the company’s operations. Diversity and inclusion issues are included, for example, in the Mandatum Way guide on workplace culture and in supervisor training.
