Change in Mandatum's financial reporting terminology
The Finnish translation of the net finance result will be changed from 'sijoitustoiminnan tulos' to 'nettorahoitustulos'. The corresponding English term remains unchanged. The purpose of this change is to clarify the distinction between investment return and net finance result. The new term will be adopted in the next financial report, i.e., the financial statement release for 2024.
Sustainability
Our three main ESG ratings were updated during the quarter (19 Dec)
- Mandatum achieved a score of 13.6 in the Sustainalytics assessment (on a scale of 0–100). With this result, the company falls into the low ESG risk category. Mandatum is now placed in the top two percent among companies in the asset management and custody services subindustry.
- In the MSCI assessment updated in November, Mandatum achieved an ESG rating of "AA" (on a scale of CCC–AAA). This rating category reflects a company that is a leader in its industry in managing ESG risks and opportunities.
- In October, ISS ESG awarded Mandatum Prime status, indicating that the company's ESG rating is among the best in its industry.

SFR Research: Mandatum is one of Finland’s best institutional asset managers (29 Nov)
Mandatum has received the highest Platinum Award in Scandinavian Financial Research’s “Institutional Investment Services 2024” survey. Mandatum Asset Management ranked as the top institutional asset manager in the category of large companies, together with Danske Bank and Evli.
Mandatum committed to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment in 2011 Mandatum has received excellent scores in the 2024 UN PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) assessment, which evaluates the year 2023. Mandatum achieved the highest star scores in several categories: direct private equity, direct real estate, direct listed equity, direct fixed income corporate, active indirect fixed income, indirect private equity and indirect real estate.

Next earnings release
Mandatum's silent period before the next earnings release began on 14 January 2025. The 2024 financial statement release will be published on 13 February 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m. EET. The company will present its results on the same day in a conference call starting at 11:00 a.m. EET.
